We recently purchased thousands of rolls of original retro/vintage auto upholstery dating from the 50s to the 80s. There is a huge variety of different kinds of fabric in the lot. Many of them (though not all) are appropriate for general upholstery.
This piece would work for general upholstery though it doesn't have a lot of give.
This is a really nice piece of G.M. upholstery in a plush brown velour. It has a subtle stripe and appears to be mostly cotton. The fabric measures 66 inches wide and there is 1 1/2 yards as well as a smaller piece that is 34 by 44 inches.
