This piece would work for general upholstery though it doesn't have a lot of give.
This is a very cool piece of fabric. It is a channel style fabric in a fairly shiny gold stripe with circles. The fabric was originally made for a 1966 Chevrolet. It is 70 inches wide and this listing is for 2 linear yards.
