We recently purchased thousands of rolls of original retro/vintage auto upholstery dating from the 50s to the 80s. There is a huge variety of different kinds of fabric in the lot. Many of them (though not all) are appropriate for general upholstery.
This piece would work for general upholstery though it doesn't have a lot of give.
I wish I had more of this fabric...it's a great, bright red stripe. The fabric was originally made for a variety of cars including a 1971 Rambler, AMC, Hornet, Matador and Sportabout. It is a roll end that is 56 inches wide. There is 1 2/3 yards of fabric.
